Time passed very quickly, not actually sure what we did. We had a trip to Xai-Xai in search of bolts and washers as we had to do a quick repair for Humble – he lost a bolt, who knows where. Maybe on that nice road Greg sent us down !!!
The birding in Zongoene is special as you have shore, lagoon and bush birds in a single place – everything from Petrels to Sandpipers to Striped kingfishers and Black Saw-wings.
The first few nights were freezing but it started to heat up as we left.
Highlights – beautiful scenery, great birding, friendly staff
Low point – the wind that arrived on our last evening making it impossible to cook (we made the best of it however and went to the bar for a dimple and chicken)
