Camp Review

Steps Campsite, Senga Bay, Malawi

General Impression

Gorgeous setting.  Grassy, shady camp right on the lakeshore with fantastic views and easy access for a swim in the lake.

However, apart from the barman, the people were not welcoming and you felt very much in the way.

We were also horrified to see that emptying the litter bins consisted of merely throwing the rubbish over the wall into the nature reserve behind (disgusting).

Ablutions

Dreadful.  Dirty with either a little cold water or no water

Electricity

Yes (some sites but you pay extra and there are often long power outages)

Water

Yes but not drinkable

Facilities

Bar.  You can use the Hotel Livingstonia facilities (next door) but you do have to pay to use their pool.

Would we re-visit?

Yes but only if we were in the area as there is little else on offer.
